For the Toronto students who are going to a post-secondary school this year be sure to take advantage of what many students do not - BURSARIES!

Thousands ( THOUSANDS ) of dollars are left undeclared from the financial branches of schools that could have gone in to YOUR pockets! So what you need to do is take an hour from your busy days and visit your financial advisor in your school to see if you’re eligible for any bursaries.

TIP: Go at the very beginning of the semester and last few weeks to optimize your chances in getting the highest amount.

Usually the question that will be asked is why you should be considered for a bursary. The best answer is the one filled with the most sympathy. For example,

. My parents no longer support me because _____

. Working two jobs; homework; supporting your family

. Transportation costs

. Food costs

. Books costs

Remember, it’s free money and it’s time that you get something for all that you are doing from working at that job you hate to studying long hours in to the night. Just do it. You’ll be happy when you leave your distinguished schools DEBT-FREE!

Entering University or College this year? PLAN AHEAD!

What sucks the most is when you have a tight budget but New Years is coming up and no money!

So what do you do to prevent it? PLAN AHEAD!

Some big events that you should plan ahead for if you plan to get out!

New Years 2009

Any Anniversaries

Hallmark Day Valentines 2009

Major Long Weekends

Reading Week/ Spring Week/ SpringBreak/ Spring FLING 2009 etc etc etc…

Okay so that was a quick list of days you might want to plan ahead for, but of coarse there are many, many more so basically my advice here is to PLAN AHEAD - PLAN AHEAD - PLAN AHEAD!

In a nutshell if you’re looking for a safe amount to keep for spending in case something does come up it can be anything from $700 to $1200. Anything more is a blessing, anything less is hitting danger zone!

$700 - Conservative (non-drinker/ non-smoker)

$1000 - Moderate (occassional)

$1200+ Party Goer (occasional to heavy)

In the end, have fun just don’t blow your OSAP or mommy and daddy’s monies!

A fools view on how to have enough for big day sis to PLAN AHEAD, it’s that simple.

Paul Findley was a very brave individual who wrote a book coined; They Dare to Speak Out: People and Institutions Confront Israel’s Lobby

Written in 1947 it was soon taken off shelves (for obvious reasons, DUH!) and quickly edited and distributed as a “second edition” in 1948… Wow that was a quick cover-up there… No questions were asked.

Now there are numerous editions to this one book, why because people believed that this one man exercised anti-semetic thoughts. Now answer me this,

What is anti-semetic about the truth?

There is a difference between a man pleading temporary insansity and an educated senator expressing their [backed up] views on what is occurring in our world today.

But hey Machiavelli said it best in the Prince, “never let the people know“. It works does it not?

A fools view on the book, They Dare to Speak Out, is that it is much too early for the general public to be induldged in such a magnitude of information, without knowing a base -removal of all ignorance. When that time arrives, we will see a revolution.
